Jason Sudeikis is a comedian and actor. Born Daniel Jason Sudeikis to Kathryn Sudeikis and Daniel Joseph Sudeikis, Jason grew up in Overland Park, Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, Missouri. He began his career in improv performing at ComedySportz, now called Comedy City. Jason Sudeikis moved to Chicago and studied at the Annoyance Theatre and the IO Theater, formerly known as ImprovOlympic. He became a founding member of The Second City Las Vegas. While performing there, he was hired as a sketch writer at Saturday Night Live in 2003. He'd show up as an extra in sketches until becoming a featured performer in 2005 and a main cast member in 2006.
He starred on Saturday Night Live for seven years. In July 2013, Sudeikis announced he was leaving SNL. But he has returned on occasion to play a political character, as he was frequently known for on the show, and he hosted the show in 2021. Jason Sudeikis has starred in many movies and played in different TV shows such as 30 Rock, Horrible Bosses, We're The Millers, Masterminds, Going the Distance, Colossal, The Rocker, What Happens In Vegas, Eastbound and Down, Kodachrome, Downsizing, and more. He also starred off-Broadway in Dead Poets Society as John Keating. He has two younger sisters, and his personal life has been in the news plenty, as his breakup and divorce from Olivia Wilde, with whom he has two children, was a bit contentious. He is the executive producer and co-creator of Ted Lasso, the Apple TV+ hit series.
